I hope you bought VKC2 because the first one is literally an unfinished first half of the game with cliffhanger.
VKC2 is actually the fully game with first half included.
Also it's a generally shitty RPG with barely any charcter interaction since it was designed as a co-op MMO and the servers are dead.
Also all superbosses, post-game content and many sidequests were online-only and are unaccessible now that servers are dead.
My friend gave me this game the day he bought it because he was so disappointed. Ended up selling it at a yard sale for $5

If I may recommend a good PS3 JRPG, try Resonance of Fate.
