All of those shots are in-game idiot.

MGS games has super clever optimization and art design to cover up technical short comings. Look at Old Snake's suit for example, notice how square'y the mesh actually is? The accounted for the hardware when they designed it and made it look like it was intentionally supposed to look that way.

not that i'm defending Fallout here but you have to remember that the gamebryo engine is much older than Fallout 3, so of course it's going to look like shit. you can't polish a turd.

as for Fallout 4, i have no fucking idea. it looks miles better than Fallout 3 but compared to other 2015 games it's a fucking joke
