If you go the wargame route you have to say War in the Pacific. World in Flames was made from a board game and is thus far more playable than the autismfest that is WitP.

it is though. I'm not speaking for any specific game but turn-based gameplay severely limits you. Whereas in real-time combat, you potentially can dash, block, dodge, and attack as many times as you want and the sky's the limit for how many times you can attack or dodge, in turn based gameplay, you have a set number of actions you can do in a turn, and everything that changes in the turn will be predetermined at the start of the battle (as in, you will never be able to do more than X damage per turn and you will take Y damage per turn at the minimum unless you dodge which you only have up to Z% chance of doing so, meaning the potential exists much moreso than in realtime for you to have to make exactly the right move each turn or lose, whereas in realtime, this limitation only exists if it's directly implemented and doesn't exist in the core mechanics of the game, e.g. putting a timer on for a boss fight or giving you an NPC to protect (which is essentially a timer)
