I heard there's a sale coming on steam in two days, and i have a lot of spare cash and i need a backlog of games.

Space Pirates and Zombies is a great 2D space combat game with a nice campaign
Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines is pretty much a must-play RPG where you play as a vampire (make sure you get a community patch though)

The whole Witcher series first game is really worth it
slow in the beginning though.

Every PC game is playable with any game pad. It does have native support though, any game that doesn't you can just download software to make it work very easily.
The dualshock 4 is my pad of choice.

90% of games on PC are playable with any controller out there. The Xbone/360 pads have an advantage of being the standard which means games will have correct button prompt graphics 99.9999% of the time, but you can use anything from an NES controller to a Steam Controller.

You should try Mark of the Ninja, it's a great 2D stealth game. If you want to play shooters try Insurgency and Red Orchestra 2. Total War games are fun if you enjoy strategy. Also if you are an autist you can try stuff like Europa Universalis or other Paradox games.

as long as you see that you're good to use a controller (without any tweaking). if it says "partial" support it means that the game might need you to use a keyboard or mouse at some point to do shit like click "start" on a launcher or type in your characters name, but the gameplay itself works fine with a controller

Either find elite dangerous for cheap or just get star citizen since it has actual Newtonian physics and doesn't handle like a plane Sim in space It's an actual space Sim. Elite dangerous has like zero yaw you have to roll then pitch because it's just like a plane.
