Other things we found out about were that you can freely change between chibi and non-chibi form, good news for all the chibi naysayers. Also you can choose which monster follows you around (a la Pokemon yellow) and you can use them at times, like clearing away vegetation with a fire monster.

Want to like it, but fuck the battles look so slow and dragged on. Did they mention if you can skip attack animation?
Do monsters scale equally to endgame, or will there be better varieties, like pokemon? That magitek armor looks way too good to replace. I hope it's viable for most of the game.
