I replayed SH1 earlier this year. It's still a fun, atmospheric game with a straightforward, coherent plot. The graphics have really aged but they're still scary and the creepy atmosphere is genuinely creepy.
SH4 was good, but the backtracking stuff knocked it down a few pegs for me. And all the games after SH4 just tried so hard to be "ambiguous" and "confusing" that their plots just ended up being muddled, self-contradictory garbage.

No. Its because SH3 is an incredibly polished survival horror game with 10/10 atmosphere. A game that vastly improved upon it's predecessors. A game that, for it's time and even today, looks, plays, and animates wonderfully. It looked just as good if not better than most games for the first half of the 360/PS3's life.

Girl was raised by Harry Mason, carried a knife everywhere with her, and owned a taser. Considering how James, Harry, and Henry dealt with Silent Hill, her reactions aren't much farther off. She starts off shitting herself with the simple goal of getting home and eventually becomes driven by a desire for revenge, which fits the game's intentionally violent tone.
The only moment where I was like bitch what was when she walks through her front door and starts conversationally telling Harry that some weird shit is going down, but considering she's the composite of a scared 7 year old and a horrifically abused 14 year old, her immaturity and development into aggression makes sense.
