ishygddt
controller memes aside, is there any reason to get this?
>>320750934
What's the purpose of those cords?

>E3 Bright Idea Award
"It's a piece of shit but you tried. Here's to your marketing manager."
>>320750943
It appears you need to hold it in a special way to max out those l33t numbers.
I have no idea what that would be though.
>>320751165
Only if you hate the pad. It's good for emulating older games too
>>320751232
they're levers so your fingers on the underside, holding the controller, can be lifted away from the controller to push a face button
it's an interesting, but bad idea
>>320751261
>>320751232
its for people with disabilities.
the "cords" allow you to press buttons with different parts of your hand
>>320751165
Honestly, I don't really like it. it feels okay on the Gamepad, but on the controller I really feel like I'm stretching my thumb awkwardly to reach the Y button.
>>320751579
no it isn't, it was made so you dont have to press face buttons without releasing the analogue sticks
>>320751232
Its for people with palsy that can't hold things on their own so they can crabclaw it and still hit the buttons
>>320751421
Pushed halway up the users rectum I recon
>>320751232
>>320751579
It's not for people with disabilities. It's for Cowadoodie players so they dont' have to take their thumb off the right stick to press B X and Y.
X basically becomes an L3 button, Y becomes R3 and B you press by lifting the side of your hand.

>>320750934
This looks so insanely retarded but in the end just tries to emulate a very simple kb+m feature
that you can look around in an fps AND use the abilities mapped to the 4 face buttons.
>>320751706
But they make controllers that actually relocate the buttons to the handles. Just use one of those.
>>320751824
Just because one retard uses it for that reason, and an idiot writes misinformation into an internet article, doesn't mean its actually true.
>>320751935
I was under the impression this is an addon thing that goes ON your normal xbox controller
>>320750934
>fucking_madcatz.jpg
>>320752023
what?
i've literally seen a press release from the guy who founded the company talking about how this was the case and how the idiot from ocean marketing shouldnt cause a device for people with disabilties to be ignored
it was 100% originally created for disabilities
>>320751165
I can't play stuff for long periods on the gamepad. Especially mario kart, for some reason.
It's a great controller and it's powered by unicorn farts and rainbows or something. I'm 80 hours into xenoblade and it's at 50% battery life. I have not charged it at all since before I started.
>>320752118
But it's still shit. If you want relocated buttons then spend slightly more and get a controller built for that than buying an exoskeleton for a normal controller.
>>320752147
yes, it avenges natureyou are retarded
>>320751824
that's retarded because like it's been stated, it's not for disabled people.
it's for normally abled people. A person missing bodyparts needed for the normal controller still can't use the avenger.
THIS is a disabled controller
>>320752147
But it doesn't change anything. You still need both thumbs and index fingers. If anything that thing requires more fingers than normal controllers.
>>320752297
Obviously.
Though I assume since the ban on third party controllers and stuff, those might not work as well?
Its stupid either way, though it shows how gimp controllers actually are.
>>320752363
That actually looks pretty cool, I could imagine playing RPGs with that. Needs a battery cover though.
>>320751824
>Ocean Marketing
I forgot about that. He was comedy gold.
>>320749579
No thanks anon,I already have one.
Oh cool, I'm actually in the process of making a controller for a friend who only has use of 1 hand but wants to still play action and fighting games
>>320752363
>missing body parts
Okay, what about people with motor-based conditions like cerebral palsy, or damaged nerves so they can't move their fingers all the way?
Also, what am I supposed to manipulate the purple joystick with in your pic? Diddle it with my opposable dick?
>>320752792
you put it down on the table and use the same hand you hold the controller with to move it
>>320752705
Dude, just make pedals for buttons.
>>320752701
I'd like to see the PS/2 to whatever plug PlayStation used cable. Is that otherwise wireless?
>>320752705
dude. Look at ben heck's accessibility controller series. That'll give you a better idea than this 60's camera.
>>320753382
>PS/2
That's not a PS/2 you little shit.
>>320753573
Those controllers suck for action games
>>320752147
that's a literally jewish huckster of a CEO doing damage control and pivoting to pander to the offended. remember, he hired that shady ass marketer in the first place
it was never explained how these things help a disabled person. every secondary source seems to have invented its own explanation for which condition it is supposed to be helping, without demonstrating how this controller would help that condition
>>320750934
>still have to take your thumb off to press A
why no just put some buttons at the back that can be accessed by your other fingers?
>>320752701
>Playstation controller
>cross D-pad
