It seems to take away everything that DaS2 improved to go back to a clunkier game, and the multiplayer is already confirmed garbage with 4 phantoms vs 1 invader. If you have a PC, why play DaS on a console? Free game, better framerate, grafix, load times, mod availability, and it's nice to be able to save right before a boss, copy your save to the desktop, and if you die to the boss. Replace the save with the backup so you don't have to waste 14 minutes going all the way to the boss from the last bonfire, which was halfway across the map.
Can't wait for someone to me that's cheating somehow, and that it does anything more than save time and actually hurt me by hindering the ability to grind souls by replaying the section and Recovering. If I'm actively trying to figure out how to beat a boss, I'm not going to spend 15 minutes fighting through the overworld just to get one hit killed by the boss, and then do that two or three more times.

This is a good thread as any to ask, I recently started playing dark soul 1, and I grew very fond of pvp, however I want to finish the game with my current character and make a new one just to pvp.
I know there's a cheat engine hack to edit your stats and soul level but can I edit my save to have some bosses killed? (like artorias and sancturary guardian so I can invade in oolacile township)

It's okay. I made the mistake of buying Dark Souls II. If this is any good, I'll just wait for it's "Scholar of the First Sin" edition to come out. After Dark Souls: Prepare to Die Edition came out on PC in a complete form, I had good will for From, only for them to pull the crap they did with DaS II and it's DLC and two version.
Not falling for that a second time. I paid $40 for Dark Souls II and $15 for the way fucking better upgrade (some people say SotFS is worse; it's not) when it FINALLY got a good discount. Thankfully I never bought the vanilla DLC. Gonna get this shit when the enhanced edition goes on sale to make up for that.

1.PC games are shit products. I consider myself fairly tech savvy and can make everything work nicely but if there's "some assembly required" they can go fuck themselves, they are not getting my money.

Buddy, console have very weak long term sales due to the second hand market. PC has good long term sales. 5 bucks is better than nothing and devs/publishers need that in tough moments or down times between projects/releases. PC is in no way "a bargain bin platform". It's profitable hence the games coming to the platform. Them sometimes coming later is just optimal sales tactics.

It's getting harder and harder to make third party console exclusives due to games becoming more expensive and needing bigger budgets and logically better sales on bigger install bases. It's why the PS4 is a cheap multiplat machine and the few good exclusives are first party.

I play on consoles as well as on PC and to my surprise I encountered quite a few annoying bugs in them. Sure it's not PC tier of compatibility issues but games on consoles are in no way the "perfect - it just works - products" that people made them out to be on here.
Then when you consider the bad performance on consoles I wouldn't have trouble considering them "shit products" too.
