The style of gameplay popularized by smash has a ton of potential, but it's never going to evolve because the creator insists it must ALWAYS be played with multiple people or that it's a party game, which just adds fuel to the shitposting fire. Smash 4 and Project M are two totally different beasts. People who compare them are complete idiots who don't realize that the games are targeting two separate groups of people.

Project M was a straight-up upgrade to Brawl in every way, shape, and form. Even if you played the game casually, Project M was a better way to play Brawl than playing Brawl.

Word. The only times I've ever used custom moves/equipment was to be able to beat Classic mode lvl 9/Smash Run/Crazy orders.
I mean, they are beateable without them, but you have to exploit the AI, if more effort would've been put into Classic mode or the others, no one would be resorting to AI exploting or unfair atributes to your characters in order to win.

I was looking FORWARD to the new characters, the new modes, the new costumes. I wanted those things. I practiced PM BECAUSE I knew that it would only continue to give more content and fun into the foreseeable future.
Now what?
I can hope someone finishes those three unfinished characters, but past that it's over. No new content, nothing else to look forward to.
You could make the argument that nothing else needs to be added. It has tons of new game modes and new characters. Why would it need more?
But that's part of why I loved it. It was always changing. The core was always the same, but the way people went about finding ways to enjoy the core game was always changing.
I'm hoping Brawl Minus steps up to the plate and takes over making new and creative ways to play the game.

One of the reasons I stuck with smash is because of the new game modes PM were making. We didn't get those things in Smash 4 like I was hoping.
Smash 4 and Brawl feel so barren in comparison. There's 'play game, play game with a bunch of people all at once, and then play game with a bunch of people one at a time'.
