>Sequel looks exactly the same as the game released several years before
Make it stop
>sequel has a completely different artstyle
Fucking Redsteel.

>the doctor is in
>>320733254
Nothing wrong with experimenting even when it fails. What showcases video game devolution more than anything is the lack of TECHNOLOGY
>Sequel removes 40% of the mechanics from the first game
>>320733254
They really should have just renamed it. What the fuck were they thinking tacking the name of the shittiest Wii game on for no reason?
Redsteel 2 was great too, hope it gets a sequel.
>>320733254
I still remember the bullshots when that game was first known
>>320733430
What is every sequel in the last half decade
>>320733742
Not when Japanese games are concerned
And to think...I hesitated.

Change is ALWAYS better.
The 'if it ain't broke, don't fix it' attitude leads to stagnation. Look at how Platinum got famous for being one of the most innovative devs to a company that copypastes watered down DMC 3 gameplay in everything they make, with W101 being a rare exception. Nier has the same combat. Transformers had the same combat. Korra had an even more watered down model of the same combat. Bayonetta 2 was simpler than Bayo 1. At least MGR had some cutting.

>Change is ALWAYS better.
not always. While RE4 was a good game, everything after RE4 has been total ass
>>320733430
Fuck you Baten Kaitos Origins. And fuck anybody who defends that garbage.
>>320734975
Not RE4's fault. It has been ass because it didn't innovate like RE4 did compared to first three.
>>320734823
>Change is ALWAYS better
>>320735468
Always, no exception. As evidenced with TF 2 compared to the original mod. The point is in attitude even when it fails. You have to keep pushing the medium forward at any cost.
>>320735773
I can see where your coming from but something feels wrong about the statement "Change is ALWAYS better".
>>320737129
Always. Otherwise you're just making callbacks to previous entry, wasting your time and being servile to established concepts.
>>320737129
I hear aujizzm doesn't like change...
You must be aujizztic and have severe spectcum aujizzm dicksorder.
>tfw no Hellraiser game
>>320733278
>Mfw they gave the chatterer eyes
>You waited 40 years to watch the same movie over again
>>320737585
You can't really force innovation.
>>320737871
pottery
>>320737868
To be fair it was requested by the actor so he could actually fucking see while acting
>>320738038
Ruined the look, it's like if they gave the xenomorph eyes.
>>320737937
Of course not, market doesn't like it. I'm talking about attitude.

Age of Wonders
XCom
Elder Scrolls
Fallout
X-series
etc.
Oh how the mighty have fallen.
>sequel is literally just the same game mechanics, graphics, artstyle, just set in a different overworld and story
>literally no improvements to the gameplay or UI
>reuses the same music
>>320739786
>reuses the same NPC models save for the main characters who are basically just recolors of previous characters from the first game
>>320733875
Is this bait?
>>320739786
>uses the same music
Thought this was Majora's Mask up to this
Jesus wept...
>>320740736
which japanese game removed features from previous entry?
