That doesn't mean that there isn't a kernel vulnerability on newer firmwares, but they will be harder to find or will be exploitable via game saves, level loading, or playing the game in a very specific way that triggers it to work
for example, the way the system crashes is controllable on newer firmwares, allowing for RAM dumps and how the CFW can boot up within that time, like how a system goes from sysnand to emunand.
Basically, the shit is there, we just need to figure out how to break it and put it back together in a special way.
