This doesn't work in Game Maker. If it was made to run at 60fps, everything would double in speed. They'd need to rewrite all the movement code, so it's not happening.

The game already slows down after several loops. It'd be even worse with 60fps because Game Maker is ass. I'd much rather have a stable 30fps than a 60fps that drops down to 50 before you even reach the Throne, considering that means the game will actually play slower, not just render slower.

Beyond the obvious optimization issues with GM, setting the game to play at 60 vs 30 is probably really simple. There can't even be that much code. The game isn't that big.

Ordinarily, it's a decent idea to make money before porting a project.. especially just for something like 60 FPS over 30 for an indie game that's already pretty entertaining.
Learning GM is much more simple than learning C++, for example. There's honestly no reason for a game like it to be any better than it is, for what it is.
