The players are expected to figure out for themselves what works and what doesn't; the game doesn't hold their hand throughout. Death can also come very suddenly and unexpectedly if someone fucks up, which makes the game seem more brutal and unforgiving than it actually is.

Dark Souls is relatively challenging but still fun.
Now this RPG(Fire Emblem Thracia 776) is on a whole new level of being fuckin' broken to the point where its just simply not enjoyable at all. Highly limited weapons, no tutorials/introduction to the games mechanics, large spawns of enemies, crappy shitastic units, RNG can rekt your characters, no supports, overpowered bosses, fatique system and extremely limited access to skills/arena/money.
