The game starts on a space pirate base Samus only has the stun pistol. It's a 3rd person Metal Gear like sneaking game. You have to traverse the base to recover Samus' ship and powerups

It's mostly Other M contradicting everything else. Other M Samus is physically different from every prior appearance (shorter, green eyes, mole), just for starters. It also contradicts the manga at several points - Adam is shown holding a grudge for Samus leaving his command, when in the manga, he was supportive of her operating on her own, and the manga's Samus was very clearly shown defeating Ridley and getting over her issues with him. There's also Anthony, who'd never even been mentioned up to that point, being treated like a major character, whereas the Chozo are completely unmentioned. It also contradicts Fusion, where Samus rebukes the AI's questions of "Would he sit in a safe Command Room and order you to die?" when he does exactly this in Other M.

The rocket heels were Sakurai's way of fixing the zero suit, since its original concept art specifically stated to not make the suit have heels. This allowed him to make the zero suit's shoes be as originally intended while also satisfying Sakamoto's inane contradiction of slapping heels on anyways.

Sakamoto's pretty much the bassist of the Metroid crew. His subtle influence is nice and helps bring things together, but when he's the head honcho who writes the songs and cranks his instrument way up the song become awful messes.
Metroid games are very lonely affairs. It's usually just you against the entire world/worlds/space station. Maybe there's some kind of exposition guy but it's mostly just you.
So I'd like a game that expanded on this more. A feeling of utter desolation and loneliness. Big open world that has more ancient ruins instead of caves. Fewer but stronger enemies. Dynamic lighting to allow for dark and abandoned areas. A stronger emphasis on exploration beyond "there might be a missile pack or even an energy tank here".

I imagine it's because SA-X has the code of Samus' original DNA and that was used to fix herself, or something. Like a living patch or something.
Speaking of patches, I'm fascinated that the Galactic Federation can digitally transmit weapon data and functions to the power suit though. I hope this is something that comes up more. We can only assume the power suit has some kind of computer inside it, look at Prime 2 when that robot thing injects you with a virus.
