I'd prefer if Rock Pikmin were included in Olimar's moveset as a 6th Pikmin type that breaks shields faster or something. Honestly I don't think Pikmin is a series that should have clones or alts turned slots since all captains function identically in Pikmin 3. Olimar might as well just cover everything with a single moveset.
That and Sakurai made a point to remove all tether recoveries as a sole mean of recovering.

I'm a big Daisyfag but it doesn't really bother me that much that there isn't a Mario Maker costume for her. If her not having a costume means she really is irrelevant enough that she won't be in another game ever again then I'd be a bit worried, but I think that's just people overreacting.
I think it's more likely that they have some reason they can't or don't want to use music clips from Super Mario Land and nothing else would make sense with the costume. Personally though I like them doing things like the Earthbound costumes, I'd enjoy it if Mario Maker became more all encompassing as far as Nintendo properties goes.
