Once you get to the third area post-sandy, the game gets kinda shit with a bad layout in Dutchman, weird ass dream layout, some ridiculously high costs on bonus content, and whatever the fuck happened in Kelp Forest. I don't think i ever beat it as a kid cause my TV had a really low brightness and I couldn't even see the ground.
The boss was kinda expected, but still a surprise and for me it was mostly "are you serious? This lost its novelty after the first 20 times I did these jumps.

LSW was the first DBZ game I played where it had the full story. I didn't expect that for a GBC game.
30 battles long story mode, has NG+, and you can unlock all villains in NG+ and play as them. It was so cool. Fuck the Android 17 and 18 fight as Future Trunks though, that shit was way too hard to solo.

Yeah, probably even more so, especially when it comes to licensed games.
5th gen was really bad for licensed games, and 6th really picked it up overall. Licensed games went from guaranteed shovelware to possibly decent in just a few years, mainly because they figured out how to rip off popular games particularly well.
Nowadays, most licensed games on next-gen are actively trying to be legitimate games, and everything else gets thrown onto mobile.
