DmC sold fine, not great by any stretch of the imagination. But Capcom themselves described its sales as "solid" and it's at 1,6 m last time I checked.
People will spit endless headcanon on how DmC was the finanical blunder of the century and how all the numbers that say otherwise is damage control but offical statements is all we have to go on. DmC didn't set the world on fire, but it hardly crashed and burned as hard as /v/ would like you to believe either.
Not that I personally believe that they will bother with another DmC, and that is all that people really should care about. If DmC had been a catastrophe I doubt we would have even seen DMC4:SE
What do you guys want out of DMC5 and Bayo3? I'm not too sure what I want in Bayo outside of it playing less like 2 and more like 1 while letting us play as Rodin in the campaign. For DMC5 I want them to keep Style switching but give more weapons and guns to use, keep Vergil the same but have more weapons and put Trick down to be usable out of DT. Nero should have the Devil bringer play a greater role in combat and make it interact with the environment, Trish needs to be able to change Sparda into different form which changes how it controls, while also giving her more shit to do with lightning and give her air raid back. Lady needs to be completely revamped I think but I don't know what they would give or do to her
