What's on your game schedule for the winter /v/? Completing/starting anything?
Someone recommended me Dark Messiah in a thread yesterday. Think I'll get my hands on that today.
Also happy holidays.
Kill yourself scumbag.
>>320613715
If you tell me why you uploaded a picture of a fish, I might possibly consider it.
>>320613576
work work and again work;_;
>>320614348
All winter? Not even a bit of time forfun?
>>320614430NoB-but I work for videogames, does that count as fun?
>>320614532Do you think it's fun? Then yes.
started FFVII and risen (why the fuck i'm playing this piece of shit? thinking of droping it gameplay wont get better)
still playing BB dlc ,
want to start something of horror but haven't decide
Finish Bloodborne.
Work
Play FFX
Work
Maybe some Maplestory Reboot
Work
Maybe some FF7
Work
ReplayingKatawa Shoujoand starting up another modded Skyrim playthrough, complete with Realistic Needs and Diseases and Frostfall. Maybe I'll pick Rune Factory 4 or Earthbound back up relatively soon
>>320614763at timesbut working on holidays is never funand it happens every time, and most of the weekends
Finish xcx, then maybe try dmc1 for the first time.
>>320614869
Play Gothic 3 if you like the style of Risen, found it to be much more fulfilling to interact with the local village politics in that one.
Also how far are you in FF7?
>>320615160
Whichstoryare you going for in KS?
>>320615280does the good outweigh the bad?
Uh.. not a lot. Don't feel like playing much but oddly enough I went through couple of COD campaign in the past week. It's just fun to turn the volume off, crank up a cozy podcast, open a beer or a bottle of rum and just turn your mind off. Did MW2, it was better than I remember it. Then I did Blops2, it was way worse than I remember it. Now I'm doing WAW, I forgot that Kiefer Sutherland was in it.
Shit games aside, I was thinking of maybe going back to Trails in the Sky. I spent like 20 hours on the psp and dropped it so that might be perfect comfy game. I was playing FFIX on my ps2 but I lost a save file 10 hours in it and as much as I really want to play it, I cant be fucked with that 10 hour long intro, honestly. Just can't. If any nigger is playing it on POPStarter and has a save file when you get to that docking station thingy, I'd be super grateful.
tl;dr Trails. Maybe a random SH game. Also fucking RE0HD
>>320615787not alwaysbut hey, don't get me wrong, it's extremely cool nonetheless
>tfw bought two pounds of chocolate bisquits and are going to stay in on a friday night like a pathetic loser that I am playing, but mostly arguing over which retro vidya is more shit
who /depression/ here
>>320613576
Just finished Fallout 4, next I'm gonna dive right into xenoblade X
>>320615787
reached costa del sol , went out to grind some Gil since i wasted all on weapons and no money to sleep - move story forward ,
about risen is that the gameplay is fucking shit , but eventually gothic will be on my backlog i guess (dont remember if i played those as a kid but most likely i did)
>>320615787Lilly. I played it two years ago right after I moved away from everything and everyone I knew, so I had a huge apathy shield that prevented me from feeling anything despite having completed Emi, Lilly and Hanako's routes. Now that some time has passed, I cried during the confession scene.
>>320616107
I've heard the new one has a pretty solid single player storyline as well. Strange times when CoD has good SP again.
Also, there's probably a intro-skipped save somewhere on
>>320616201I can imagine. I study multimedia design myself, at most I might one day do websites or design video content for a game
>>320616387
joke's on you, i down a bunch of st. john's wort to muffle the voices in my head because actual anti-depressants cost money and scare the shit out of me
>>320616495I wish you luck, pal
>really want to play something
>can't decide what
>it's been like 7 hours of me just looking at games instead of playing anything
>>320616495
Nah, I'm using the homebrew emulator for ps1 games that allows you to basically run ps1 roms on your ps2, straight off your thumbstick. It's a niche thing, and it saves your game on a virtual memory card instead of a real one so it's less likely to find someone who can upload it for you.
>>320616387
Depression sucks, hopefully you have people you talk to about it, anon. Being alone with depression again is a personal nightmare of mine.
>>320616441
Good luck with the rest of FF7, then. First playthrough?
>>320616448It continues to surprise me that a text-and-visual only medium is capable of making people reflect on their life and be so personally affected. Very heartwarming.
>>320616796
Hit and miss anon. I deleted my facebook account couple of days ago because I can't fucking stand that world anymore. A friend just texted me about going out tonight but he just wants to fucking vent about his shitty work issues. He doesn't want to drink, and he doesn't want to hit on girls either. I don't get people who go out and don't do fucking anything.
You want to vent about random shit to people all night? Call your fucking mother or buy a cat.
>>320616630You too. Don't kill yourself working, bud.
>>320616707
Make a list and use a random number generator, or post it here and have your taste judged.
>>320616741
Ah, fair enough. Good luck with the hunt, then!
>>320616796
>then. First playthrough?
no, replaying it , but i haven't touched it since 1998
>>320617019that's the only way I know to reach higher roles in the company, I hope that day will arrive soon
>>320613576
Dark messiah is great! btw when you reach the orc boss remember the oil jars ;)
Playing Mount and Blade and its pretty fun.
Working on completing a lot of things that I just dont have the motivation to finish including, but not limited to SMT Nocturne, TWEWY, Raidou Kuzunoha 1, Kingdom Hearts 2, MGS5, and Catherine
>>320613576
happy holidays to you too, enjoy dark messiah anon, it looks like a cool game
I'm currently playing diablo 3 and monster hunter 4 ultimate with friends
maybe I'll start sly cooper on my days off, I just finished witcher 3 hearts of stone
>>320616965
Ah well. You mentioned arguing about retro vidya - what's your personal favourite?
>>320617102
Sounds like afuntime!
>>320617132Take care of your health too, anon. You're not efficient if you're on the edge of a stress-related breakdown.
>>320617248
Will do!
>>320617386
Who're you allied to in M&B?
>>320617428
I remember playing through the Sly Cooper games a while ago - pretty good in it's execution, and the characters aren't bad.
>>320617857
I've heard sly 3 kind of sucks compared to the first 2 because of all the minigames, what is your opinion on it?
>>320617557in this industry it seems that the rule of thumb is that everyone is always on the edge of a stress-related breakdown, and who actually achieves his goal is the one who can resist it without being hospitalized
>>320617557
Horror games are my shit, PS1 stuff. RE2 is my favorite game of all time, followed by either Dino Crisis 2 or Parasite Eve 2, if that is retro enough
>>320613576
When I'm not working, I'm gonna be spending all my spare time on Fallout 4 and Xenoblade Chronicles X. These fucking timesink RPGs...
>>320618196
Yeah, they got a bit too gimmicky with it. IIRC there are a few of them to provide variety in the earlier ones, but they went overboard with it in the third game.
It's not necessarily bad, but the mini-games don't do it any favours.
>>320618209at least find some way to keep your stress in check then, anon. meditation works for me - i don't want you to get hospitalised.
>>320618327
What's the oldest horror game that you find yourself liking? Curious.
>>320618658
Ehhh... 90s point and clicks? Harvester, Sanitarium, old Dracula games, Phantasmagoria, The Black Dahlia, that kind of stuff. Technically jap RE1 is maybe older than most of them, but RE1 is a cliche answer, no matter how much i love the original resi.
>>320617857
Rhodoks
>>320618965
Interesting. A few names I haven't heard of before - can you recommend any of them that've aged well?
>>320613576
A new Baldur's Gate playthrough I think.
Thinking of having either a party full with dwarves or assassins, not sure which.
>>320613576
I just started south park stick of truth.
it's a lot better than I was expecting. it's made me giggle a few times. heard some complaints about the short length but I like it so far. only spent a few bucks on it so I won't be too bothered if it's a little short.
>>320619076
How far into the game are you conquest-wise? Got your own village/castle/city yet?
>>320619267
1 or 2? Or do you play through it all with the same character?
>>320619321
Yeah, Stick of Truth isn't bad - but I can see some people being not that happy about the length considering it being fairly pricey and an RPG.
I liked it myself, though. It didn't require me to go grind for an hour.
>>320613576
Finally getting further into Virtue's Last Reward, going to try finish Bravely Default & SMT IV soon as well. MGSV and Bloodborne after Christmas.
>>320615023
Dude I really like your list cus its so close to mine.
But cmon man the reboot? Why are you still into maple? Nexon ruined that MMO years ago.
I'd have been fine with a private server but damn man. Whats keeping you there? Wheres the appeal?
>>320613576
I would like to start playing on the nost pve server, but I have a feeling it won't be fun unless I have someone to play with. My spend most of my time drawing since video games arent fun anymore.
>>320619091
Dracula 1 and 2, they are on GOG. Classic first person point and clicks, no pixel hunting, fairly easy to intermediate puzzles. Good gateway shit, plus it's spooky. It's only drawbacks are that they have an occasional proto-QTE minigame. Dracula 3: Path of Dragon is the best in the series, but that one is only couple of years old and not retro. Gorgeous looking, story is fantastic, first half is relatively logical with puzzles but second half really pushes that shit, I had to look up so many solutions in a walkthrough. If you like challenge, go for it.
Storywise, D3 takes place during WW1 in a small Romanian village. You are a priest who just got into town, you are supposed to explore some kind of Dracula-related shit, his castle among other things. There are a lot of interesting sidecharacters (locals, foreign explorers, hungarian spies etc etc). I really recommend that game.
Sanitarium is probably the best "mindfuck" point and click. Isometric view, you are an amnesiac who wakes up in a sanitarium (gee who saw that coming). Game has a... very 80s charm, its spooky, semi cheesy but cheese is what really pushes the weird shit to the max when it gets spooky (children dragging around and playing with corpses, stuff like that). I really recommend it.
Non-retro horror point and clicks that are a must play - Scratches (*the* gateway point and click), and Darkness Within. DW has two entries in the series, it has a bit of reading in it (gameplay mechanic requires you to underline clues in diaries, stuff like that). It's in full 3d and is very Lovecraftian.
I'm going to emulate FF4. Got a couple other JRPGs I haven't played before for after that (the Last Story and Resonance of Fate). I'm guessing my mom is getting me Xenoblade Chronicles X for Christmas so I'll have that lined up for afterwards as well.
I think I'm addicted to grinding.
>>320619781
If you have a ps4, be on the look out for Rogue Galaxy.
>>320616796
That's why you have therapists and groups you can join for depression. As gay as it sounds, you're never alone with depression. Its a sickness of the brain everyone has chronically, on occasion or will in the future.
>>320619675
Could be worth finding a guild to play with early on - add them on Steam and whatnot so you can get updated while outside the game as well. Also that picture tells me you have good taste - what do you draw?
>>320619701
Saved. You've made my wallet a little lighter for next year, anon.Thank you, and merry Christmas.
>>320619864
True. The problem is finding the motivation to get out of your shell again. I would've probably just backed out of every scheduled meeting when I was at my worst.
>>320619575
i have a few fiefs but nothing huge
Between work and holiday shit I'm going to visit my backlog and try to actually finish Earthbound and S.T.A.L.K E.R , oh and fable 3 to scratch my casual itch. Also keeping an eye on sales to get something cheap. If I have time between all that then Guild Wars 2. Fight me.
Also I think I'm getting a raspberry pi for Christmas that I can turn into a streaming box for couch time PC playing. Christmas is looking good, friends
>>320613576
>Animal motherfucking crossing
>Xenoblade Chronicles
>Sm4sh bros
>Bayonetta 2 is on its way
and i'd love to make a mage run on souls. working on it right now.
>tfw all these stockpiled drinks and snacks ready for christmas
>can't have any of them for another week
>it's surprisingly warm for this time of year anyway
not feeling all that comfy, all I can hope for is a waito christmasu
I planned playing xenoblade x during christmas holydays, but dropped it.
Now im downloading the legend of heroes: trails in the sky
>>320619858
I'll keep it in mind, thanks.
Bloodborne looks sick so I've been considering getting a PS4 sometime in Q1
>>320620092
Nothing special, I'm just copying portraits right now. I've honestly spent more time reading drawing books than actual drawing so I feel like I'm really good a polishing a turd.
>>320620313
why cant you?
>>320620150
How many hours did that take you, roughly?
I find myself spending a lot of time early on in that game just rushing between tournaments for the money.
>>320620250
>If I have time between all that then Guild Wars 2. Fight me.
Most of my old WoW guild's playing GW2 these days. I still hop on sometimes to talk, I hear they got better voice-actors for the new expansion.
>>320620257
Busy schedule, good luck with getting through it all!
>>320620429I bet your stick figures are way better than mine either way.
>>320620453
I'll lose GBP and not get all my Christmas gifts
>>320613576
>Animal motherfucking crossing
>Xenoblade Chronicles
>Sm4sh bros
>Bayonetta 2 is on its way to my mailbox
and i'd love to make a mage run on souls. working on it right now.
The End of the year break is the fucking best
>>320620525
yeah me too.
only a couple of hours
>>320620526
how underage are youI'm really looking forward to the New Years eve, I have 3 days off in a row and I'm gonna get a case of beer and a bottle of Jack, gonna stay home alone and play something cozy and get shitfaced
>>320614869
started FFVII too anon. bretty gud so far.
>>320613576
Something about the cold makes me want to play MMO's, so me and a few friends have been getting back into Guild Wars 2
>>320621015
i feel you
I'm still on my first skyrim playthrough. Already put about 308 hours into it. Story is somewhat shit but i've been distracted from the Main Story since the first hour... Modded it with Frostfall, Climates of Tamriel etc. to be more of a comfy hiking / exploring simulator.
Bioshock 2 and LISA mostly.
Gonna try gittin gud atGuilty Gear on PC
>>320621547
Tha does sound pretty great. Any good stories from exploring?
>>320621747
How far are you with Bioshock 2?
>>320622172
I made it to Fontaine Futuristics
finish Ni no kuni
>>320622850
Nice. First run?
I just bought the AVGN game, and I'm finishing up DK64 102%. also working through starcraft's campaign, and I recently beat bastion.
I got the Last of Us Remastered.
I'm playing on Grounded difficulty, I think it's a pretty great game.
I'm going to decide whether I want to play Majora's Mask 3D, NIER, or Kingdom Hearts 1.5 HD next
>>320623213
I beat it years ago but I recently got it on steam so I thought I'd go through it and the original bioshock again.
I also never did Minerva's den.
>Also happy holidays
No, merry Christmas, motherfucker.
>>320623504
Sounds like a swell plan. Anything else on the horizon?
>>320623512
Sorry fortriggering you.
>>320623698
maybe doing a Fury mode run in Muramasa Rebirth. or finishing my first run of Demon's Souls.
I'm super hyped for the Odin Sphere remake
>>320625085
How far along are you with the Demon's Souls run?
Also sounds like you've plenty to look forwards to!
>>320625419
I'm around...Half way done with Demon's souls? The last boss I beat was probably Flamelurker.
Yeah there's plenty in 2016 that I'm excited for. Dragon Quest 7 and 8 as well as SMT4 final are among them.
I'm also going to get a PS4 sometime next year.
