Everything I have played has been good. Got Freedom Wars on my Vita this month, haven't played the other game yet.
But Freedom Wars was really popular and got a lot of praise. I'm sure you could see all the free games somewhere, a list of them.
I would also recommend getting a Vita and eventually getting a PS4.

God Freedom wars was such a waste of a good concept.
The music,the atmosphere, the lore, all of it desreved a much better treatment.

It's a fucking terrible game in almost every aspect. The upgrading system is absolute ass, combining RNG bullshit with real time waiting, requiring you to use an online tool to calculate if your weapon isn't complete fucking shit. There is absolutely no enemy variety whatsoever, you'll be fighting the same ~5 abductors fucking endlessly. The story, while it had potential in the beginning, quickly devolves into standard animu bullshit with "BEATRISU" and forcing you to be an errnad boy. Not only that, the game fucking ends the second it starts to get interesting, making it obvious sequel bait. The thorn system is just a bandaid on a clunky regular movement system. This is one of the few games where I'd say artificial difficulty actually applies. The game doesn't actually get harder, they just scale everything to fucking ridiculous degrees. The one feature I'd say was good, the waifu creation, was also lacking as well, locking outfits and cosmetics behind DLC. Not even mentioning the fucking kick in the balls that is what happens when you grind your entire sentence away.
If you want a "kill giant monsters" game on Vita, you're better off with literally everything else. Soul Sacrifice Delta is excellent.
