I thought about it since I had tons of store credit at this place called Play N Trade, and they have jack shit for current gen games. Literally my only choices are shit like COD, Battlefront, Destiny, Fallout, and maybe a few other titles. About $240 in credit and nothing to spend it on.

It's a pretty alright game. It's a solid 7.5. The most fun disappointment I've ever played. If you like Fallout, you will like Fallout 4. You will just want to like it more.

"Other uses" can be done on cellphones, tablets, and netbooks.
Most of the benefits are bullshit too, like free online play (written in a way to imply the internet is not something you pay for in the first place), a "friendly, helpful community" which everyone knows is bullshit, free games that are actually fun like what, higher performance depending on your hardware entirely, and tons of games but almost nothing that isn't on console aside indies.

it looks decent enough if you look at the bloom and godarays (eating 30fps on my 980), but its generally low poly, the piles of debris in the city look like shit, too many bugs, diamond city is small yet drops below 60, ai is literal shit, loading times, colors look washed out, all considered on console it should AT LEAST keep a constant 30fps for what it looks like.
it generally feels like devs have been scratching their butts for years, and that's coming from a company with lots of resources and the security of high sales prediction.
