So anyone play this fairly old shit? a friend of mine got into it and they seem to really like it so it got me thinking. I always thought this diablo 3 shit was basically just world of warcraft: top down edition, but apparently it's mainly a single player game and there's really no endgame focus on raiding and multiplayer?

My friend said some shit about great rifts but it's all done solo, no raiding or requiring guilds and stuff. Is this mostly a single player experience? I heard there's no hub towns or anything either yet you're online all the time?

This is not an MMO. It's a multiplayer hack'n'slash loot simulator.
You can play solo just as well. But obviously playing with friends is more fun.
You also get bonus exp and drop chance if you play in a party. Also probably more dps too.
