I've always found my self rooting for the badguys whenever I've been exposed to american superhero media.
The entire thing feels like a fantasy presented from the view point of the hero. Where the villain is as one dimensional and evil as a totalitarian state would paint it's enemies.
Maybe I haven been exposed to the good stuff but the entire setup feels poisoned to me.
A guy using his new found powers to fight crime does not fit my experience with hoe regular people react to having great power be dropped in their lap.

I think the Joker was handled pretty damn well in his most previous film appearance. He was chaotic neutral to the core. His character was interesting because he was written in a way that made him feel like a genuine nutcase that didn't adhere to logic, without being campy about it. Yeah he was evil, but there was no real goal, he was just having a fucked sense of 'fun', and was smart enough to pull off the crazy shit he wanted to do.
Honestly, name a better villain in a movie. There aren't many. I can't even think of a more entertaining and interesting one off the top of my head.

You start as young superman and as you 'level up' you age instead gaining abilities until you are superman in his prime.
This also allows for a level 1 challenge mode where you beat the game at like age 15 with no flight and just martial skills along with the environment to beat enemies.
