If it's an older 60GB first gen model - it's worth it to some people.
First gen 60GB models are the ONLY models that could play SACD.
SACD was removed because Sony fucked up good - where SACD was supposed to be copy-proof media, that model of PS3 has exploits that allow you to dump the whole SACD.
Probably about the only reason I can think of why they're going so high.
