I think that was an issue with importing images into games at the time. Mario's model looks pretty good, but look at the eyes of that Bomb-omb. They're jagged as fuck. I also remember Mario party having really jaggy menus.

First off, those are completely different spots. Secondly, even if you were to argue that the Bob-omb Buddy was a Chukya, there at least two Chukya's in the Big Island. I don't remember if there was a second Bob-omb Buddy, but again neither were in those same places when switching.
