It's basically given to you on a silver platter, compared to how you previously had to get it.

It's the most powerful one. You originally had to get it through events, like rare pokemon. In the ds release though you could unlock it if you put a gba cartridge in your system that had defeated bass SP, who was incredibly hard to even unlock, let alone beat.

If there's one thing I liked about Star Force over Battle Network, it was the story. Especially since Geo actually WAS Megaman and not just his Pokemon trainer on skates.

It's an awkward mash-up of Megaman platforming and Battle Network's chip system, and 50 bucks sounds like overpaying a hell of a lot. I'm pretty sure I got a used copy for under 10 bucks not too many years back.

Network Transmission isn't so much hard as it has an incredibly ass backwards difficulty curve, the first two bosses in the game are the hardest due to how little you have to work with at that point in the game.

After Guts Man you can tear everything to shreds pretty easy.

The ones I haven't played are 1 (which I've read is archaic and annoying as hell), 2 (which I've heard pretty good things about but it just sounds like a lesser 3), and 4 (which I hear relatively bad things about).

1 is archaic and annoying, yeah, but still interesting enough that you should try it. 2 is pretty good with some really cool enemy designs, but it's more like a good version of 1 than a lesser 3. 4 is just generic as hell and overall underwhelming. It also has relatively little endgame content compared to other games.

4 doesn't have Chaos Unison so it's a bit gimped.
But there are some good souls there for example Thunder soul (red sun) can paralyze shit using normal or elec chips and Wood soul (blue moon) can make you almost invincible since the HP healing in grass is really fast.

Yeah, if you could actually get the style you wanted. As much as people seem to love that system I always hated how slow it was to use and how little control you had over it. To get anything decent out of it you had to grind like a madman with a guide in hand.

Also Wood soul isn't affected by paralize or confuse so multi hits like vulcans can't do shit.
