find a fault

flaw*
muh PC petitions
The framerate at that's literally it
mexico
If you played on a casual server and found the explosive rifle, you could still kill players by using the dead eye system thing.
It was fun.
30 fps, literally Skyrim with horses...
>>320537440
>no 100 hours after-story content
seriously, only fault I can find
when I heard this was a western game I never thought I would get it but after I did..... jesus fucking christ, it was great. one of the few games for my ps3 that I would never sell
I really wished though that you would get to drive that shitty car though
>>320537932
Yeah it sucks dick that it's not on steam.
>>320537440
Quite a few
Same frustrating "realistic" controls of modern rockstar games, not as horrible as gtaiv but still annoying
Somehow more barren and empty than fallout new vegas
Mexico chapter is terrible
Mexico is terrible
Characters are ridiculous stereotypes that get old real fast
Tired old revenge story
Framerate issues and bugs
Outclassed by its expansion
20 fps
>>320538524
/v/'s philosophy: If it's not on PC/Steam it sucks.
>>320537932
You're not missing out on much
If you have to complain about 2010, complain about bayonetta
>>320538761
Steam sucks fuck /v/
>poor framerates and resolution
>a fuckton of main story missions... have nothing to do with the main story
pretty cool game regardless
I'll only ever replay it if it's out on PC though
>>320538964
It's about tracking down some faggots, and their idea was to get the player into exploring and shit. Pretty fucking good, truly the peak of San Diego and Rockstar in general since the Scottish faggots can't do an open world for shit.
Framerate and post game with Jack is terrible
Other than that it's great
I loved it, turned me from a sniveling liberal baby into a grown up conservative man. I've spent probably hundreds of hours just playing the Texas Hold 'Em minigame.
Downsides:
Every 5 seconds there's some crazy random event. You walk into town, shooting starts, someone gets kidnapped, someone robs a bank. You travel to another town and it's the same shit, you get attacked by bandits, someone asks you to join a shooting competition, bandits hold you up.
It makes the game a little too full, like there's always something crazy going on.
>>320539136
they should have just left the main story short as fuck, and left all those other missions as side quests
also to anyone kinda wanting to play RDR but you don't want to buy a PS360, I recommend GUN, simmilar, but way more `videogamey` (that's a good thing for me, of course), and it's on PC
>>320537732
I'd agree with that one. Still cool, but comparatively boring when you look at the rest of the game
>>320538642
Characters are classic rockstar characters and they're great. And there is no revenge story at all.
>>320539340
Remembering the preacher boss fight on PSP is the shit of nightmares.
>>320537440
Having to play as Jack Marston sucked. He sounded like such a faggot.
it wasnt red dead revolver 2
None, I always fucking loved the wild west Era and I played the fuck out of this game. I really hope they are working on an RDR 2.
>>320539243
>shootout starts
>oh shit I better settle this shit
>shoot a man on the head
>he was a law enforcer
oh fuck me
>>320539432
GUN is also on the PSP? lel
>>320539384
it's pretty short, and pretty straight foward, while not as interesting I'd say it always turns on its head before it can get anywhere near boring (unless you're doing bounties or other side-stuff I guess)
The story moves at a snails pace and I'm frankly sick and tired of rockstar rehashing the "I'm being blackmailed by the police gotta do this shit" writing.
>>320538934
care to elaborate?
on Steam sucking, of course, I don't need to think much to figure out why someone would hate /v/you still browsing /v/ despite hating it, however...
Casings don't fly out of weapons
0/10 see me after class
>>320539412
Yes there is a revenge story
>you left me for dead, this is personal
Come, John kept whining about it for the whole fucking game
No wonder his old buddies left him
>10 hour long tutorial
>train missions
>poor narrative transition in mexico
>>320539747
It's personal, but he's forced to kill them. If John got the choice he'd rather spend the rest of his live on a farm with his family.
>>320539806
>>poor narrative transition in mexico
what do you mean by that?
because if it's what I think you mean, then it can be applied to 90% o the game's main story
>>320538753
/thread
>>320538642
How is it outclassed by an expansion if its the same game? I think youre looking for the word Improved.
Writing is typical rockstar
>I'm a cliche
>you're a cliche
>you did this cliche to me
>I have to keep doing this because cliche
>I wish I could just cliche
later part of the game felt kinda rushed out, especially the parts with Dutch
>>320539340
I don't know what are you meaning by "videogamey" but I've been meaning to get it for years.
>>320539721
> revolvers ejecting casings
>>320539901
You just rock up into mexico and you're suddenly working for these dudes in a war
It's pretty bad with the snake oil salesman before that but at least that had a cool mission
>shit gameplay (generic health regen cover shooter with braindead difficulty)
>shit characters (typical one-note rockstar caricatures)
>shit story (the ending is the only part that leaves an impression on anyone)
>>320539597
>Go to Armadillo
>walk up to those gang members in the saloon
>push them all over
>head outside
>flash your gun but holster it quickly
>hide somewhere
>you'll see the law on your minimap riding in and gunning down the gang members who were shooting at you
>law leaves once all the shooters are dead
How did we go backwards in TECHNOLOGY from RDR to GTAV? In GTAV, if you accidentally tap some nigger gang member's car, the whole neighborhood starts shooting at you, but then you get a wanted level.
>>320538753
I couldn't finish it because of this. Really wish it'd had been ported to PC, but I know NEVER EVER and all that.
it's pretty repetitive, good thing I liked what it was repeating over and over but I wouldn't blame people for dropping the game after the fifteenth quest in a row where you follow someone on horseback to a town where you shoot bandits
>>320539927
Undead nightmare makes the combat more challenging by forcing you to do headshots and has more horse variety with the 4 horses of the apocalypse, the unicorn amd all the weird mythological monsters
The spinning plates achievement/trophy was fun as fuck to handle
Blunderbuss is the best weapon and it's not in the base game
>>320540010
>revolvers are the only guns in the game
definitely see me after class.
>>320540010
I should've bothered to type rifles and shotguns
It aged like motherfucking wine.
>>320540331
It's very much an open world rpg without all the rpg mechanics that justify (or at least explain) the stupid length and repetitive stuff
>>320537440
Not on PC, PS3 version sucks (although this is more the fault of the PS3), some performance issues in Blackwater and Thieves' Landing, some repetitive side shit but I think that's just the reality of open world games.
Awesome game, own both version of it
>>320540168
>he thinks defending him self from niggers wont get the cops after him KEK
>>320540814
kek'd at star wars
I don't disagree that Mexico as a whole was weaker but that's how you meet Landon Ricketts who was great.
>>320537440
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tk_gx9LNLlw
and
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nZbN_b6P8Ks
weren't on the OST
The mexico song was fucking amazing
but then mexico sucked
>>320540168
>if you accidentally tap some nigger gang member's car, the whole neighborhood starts shooting at you, but then you get a wanted level.
That's how it works in real life
>>320537732
I don't get why everybody always bashes Mexico in this game.
It's easily one of the most atmospheric parts of the game.
>dat incredible, almost white landscape
>the traditional ambient Mexican music
>arguably some of the best missions (taking part in a revolution, being an infantryman in a civil war, that train one, etc.)
Though, I could just be a bit biased, being of Mexican heritage myself.
>>320541268
Nah Mexico was great as long you wore the poncho
>that eerie ambient music and atmosphere where you ride in that ancient car with the agents to investigate a shipwreck
the game was a 10/10 when it came to atmosphere, rockstar really nailed the atmosphere of the dying west
>>320539708
I just realised Rockstar always does this shit.
I guess its the only way to make a criminal relatable and not just a douche.
>>320537440
I own the PS3 version, the low resolution / framerate. I hope Rockstar will make a PC version.Didn't they lose the source code?
>join an open game
>get vote kicked
Make a fucking game with all your mates first then dipshits
>>320538642
>Mexico is terrible
nah. sorry they killed your waifu.
>>320538642
>Tired old revenge story
So you never fucking played it did you
>>320541808
I bought both versions and while I definitely like the 360 version more, I still beat the game a second time on the PS3 and played the multiplayer more on that platform. (PSN was free)
Maybe they'll add BC to the Bone
>>320538753
>20 fps
Runs at 30fps on my console.
>>320537440
-Glitchy as fuck
-Dull side quests
-Everything is the same years later.
>>320542143
>tired old revenge story
His son got revenge on one of the agents but that part was after the main story and not part of the john marston plotline.
>>320537440
>console only garbage
>>320537440
that it wasn't on pc for 60fps/modding
this game is still visually top 3 of all time
the online was insanely fun and the gunplay was pretty good
>>320542775
Which console would that be? I own both versions and while both generally stick to close to 30fps, there are drops around some areas like thieves landing and blackwater.
As a whole runs better than GTA V on PS3/360 though
No sequel
Nearly every mission is the fucking same. Am I the only one who noticed that this game shared a lot of the flaws that GTA4 had?
Nothing that hasn't already been said, game is GOTY, but it's ending is depressing desu, and it really sucks I can never play RDR on pc. I would love to see the game in HD, especially considering it was an impressive game graphically on console.
Here's hoping the sequel will be on PC.
Jack is annoying to play as but that's minor and it allowed for a post-game
Post-Mexico definitely was a drop in quality IMO
Multiplayer could've been handled a bit better but its still fun for what it is
Memes aside there's a real possibility of this coming to PCeventually, its just a matter of when enough players will want it.
>>320544213
So this means Red Dead Revenge will be similar to GTAV , like GTA IV was to Red Dead Redemption ? Oh dear i hope it will be a big gen step because gta v looks soo much better than gta iv
Whatever heres what i liked
>animations are great
>gunplay is good
>ost & soundtrack god tier
>atmosphere of the dying west perfect
>amazing voice acting
Not so good
>missions are mostly the same
>the graphics are good but some textures such as the trees are bethesda quality shit
>john moans all the time
>mexico
>online dead because rockstar didnt care
My game runs at 30fps all the time
>not 60fps
>glitches up the literal ass
and of course, there will never be a pc port nor sequel
I honestly think it's easily top 5 in the best games on the last decade
>no sequel
>having to do a whole bunch of retarded shit to collect a bunch of retarded shit, killing hundreds in the process, so you can assault a fort containing like 20 guys
why didn't he just put a ladder against the wall, or knock on the door
it's not like anyone was guarding the walls or something
WORK YA DAMM NAG!

Why are you pcshitters so retarded? 30fps is perfect playable. I bet all you of you are fat and don't even want to have fun with the game, just want to masturbate to muh performance
