Is it worth playing with mods if I haven't beat the game? I do like replayability of adding mods but I don't know if the vanilla is considered bad with all the mod recommendations I've heard.

i had a lot of interest in the mmo mod being created. basically the same game but with your save stored on their servers. haven't heard anything recently.

The thing about mods is that ton of them bind your characters and as such, are fucked should you ever get rid of those mods.

Not to mention, even with all the best mods the game is pretty mediocre. Passives are simply 10 times better than skills and the itemisation is boring.

I find the dungeons narrow and bland

There is no real summoner class, and shields are broken as fuck.

its great if you have a bunch of friends to grind together with. mods make the game better than plain vanilla.
but it will become mediocre.
the game itself is good. but thats about it its just "good". nothing special and pretty forgettable.
itemization sucks and is boring.
leveling can be tedious. and pacing is very bad.
most of the skills are very cookie cutter without mods.
and passives are boring % increases but are mostly more powerful than skills.

give path of exile a try.
i didnt like it at first but now i play it religiously every time a new expansion or league comes out for atleast a month straight. then take a break to not get burned out and return for the next update.

I never actually managed to finish this one. I remember being somewhat hyped for it as well. Is it worth playing through to the end? It felt incredibly bland to me compared to the first game.
