I didn't have any difficulty with the combat, and it's anything but tedious if you know what you're doing. Judging from the OP pic your party is pretty terrible composition wise. But it's not really surprising since you've mentioned you have trouble reading text.

For me it has to be Fallout 3. I actually had not played the Fallout games before 3 and /v/ was pretty vocal in it's support for it when it came out, so I played it, hated it, played 1 and 2, loved them and ended up loving NV. /v/ is full of casual kiddies, and I was born in '93 for fuck's sake.

Awful combat, more of a movie than a RPG, boring character development, bloated crafting system for that little outcome, empty world filled with repetitive tasks - and awful voice acting in the English version (compared to the Polish and German one).

Buggy game, with companions suddenly not following you into battles, seemingly getting 'stuck' in bland halls with nothing to get stuck by. Very unresponsive Gameplay; horrible graphics and design of environments; and a disgusting end game.
There is no decent tutorial on how to level and play your character. And for us Europeans, the D20 system is very unfamiliar. We are not used to that crap. And you do NOT give people the chance to respec, while at the same time making them commit to a character build when starting the fucking game. I had to wonder why my main got only 1 point to work with for basic skills, till I finally understood how the system worked. Which was then mid- to late game. And of course you only get so many levels, and even less stat points to give out, because you only get those every 2-3 levels or so. Well... one; exactly one.
Don't let me even start on how 'dark side' choices are all either driven by the wish for money, power, or simply insanity. Even the very obvious sex-slaves only give you a 'massage'.
But the fucking worst part were the final hours. You fight at least 2 hours against the same generic enemies, you fought the ENTIRE GAME, while they're on an enemey generator. You fight them for multiple levels through the entire star forge, in extremely bland and repetitive environments and battles. That was the point I wanted to throw it into the trash. You don't set up for something like that.
Kotor 2 on the other hand seems really great so far.
Nothing at this stage, but I can't get behind SupCom for some reason.

i don't think so. the setting is pretty good.
you have the location, chernobyl, which immediately sets the mission's mood with the whole "ghost town" part (which they captured pretty well imo) and the pockets of radiation scattered around to give a sense of lingering danger.
then you add in snipers in ghillie suits scattered around that will snipe you down real fucking quick if you stand up like a moron and that can be a fucking pain to spot sometimes, and the whole passage where you have to kill the guards in sequence to not alert others. in general it makes for a pretty good sneaking mission/part. even better is the fact that getting spotted doesn't actually fail everything automatically, it just makes the whole thing harder because everyone is shooting your ass.
some passages like the part with the dogs (if you don't shoot them) or killing guys in synch with the npc (forgot his name think it was Price) could be seen as being more cinematic, but you still have to hit the right one in time for him not to alert everyone, which does add more gameplay element than just pressing a button combo to go to the next cinematic, and you also have the fact that you have to keep up pace with him or you fuck everything up.
it gets even better if you play on harder modes thanks to how fast everything kills you, making it almost mandatory to do it right and silently.
you might disagree, but i still think that regardless of graphics or nostalgia it was a good mission, perhaps the best in the game.
