I like it. It's a very fun arena shooter with great level design and the focus on mobility is a nice touch.
Maybe if it got more updates to the map editor and a way to play local split screen, then it'd be even better. But for now, it's just as good as any Quake, or Unreal Tournament.

i like it, but prefer CPMA. because reflex so far is a .60:1 ratio copy of CPMA and the .40 left over is the shit they haven't ported over yet. i dont really understand the point. i bought it over impulse, ive built several maps and played nearly a hundred hours but it doesn't do anything better than even warsow, a FOSS CPMA clone (with elements from games like ut2k4).
if you are on the seat about buying this, dont. wait until a release or you will regret buying the same shit you already own

quake live is an arena shooter, but it doesn't deliver what reflex does and isn't supposed to. there aren't even pql duel servers for example which is pretty much exactly what reflex is
duels only require 2 people, a peak of even 50 would be plenty, especially considering reflex is an unfinished game

I don't like the microtransactions but supposedly in the future they're going to make it like CSGO where they drop after matches and you can trade them, which I suppose is less egregious.

2gd's game has an engine built completely from scratch to be easy to use and easy to mod for people wanting to make custom maps.
Besides, it won't be finished for a while yet but they have enough funding to see them through.

theyve said before no other engine ticks all the boxes for what they want to do with the game so they just built it from scratch which is pretty fucking impressive since the team is just 3 people 1 programmer 1 artists and 1 guy that does whatever needs doing
I wanted it to succeed because I want arena shooters back. The mechanics are really good, but I hate the cartoonish style and weapon design and wouldn't want another shitty Warsow. Quake, a game from 1999, looked and felt better than this. Other than that, it's ok.
What's the most similar game I can play to tribes that actually has a decent player base? Is this any good? I just want a fast paced non-rng based fps

Yeah I'm playing Tribes right now and I really don't want to come off as an elitist because I'm really bad at a majority of games but I find that most of the players don't know what they're doing or the new thing I've been seeing where there's always a gang of 3 heavy's with seeking missile launchers.
