God damn me too. It wasn't even like I was facing hackers, just the game is awful in comparison to say BF4. Horrible controls, horrible FOV, horrible gunplay. Maps are absolute small tier shit. Really no redeeming traits. At least the single player campaign holds up for it's Hollywood action style.

Activision only publish it. It's developed by Treyarch, Sledgehammer Games and Infinity Ward.
SG do the absolute worst of them. Advanced Warfare had wall glitches in several of the maps. These STILL haven't been fixed, despite several updates from the devs introducing more skins and more dumb guns. See the M1 Irons.
Infinity Ward are the mediocre lot. They made Modern Warfare 2 & 3. The story was predictable garbage. However, the multiplayer was pretty damn good and it created a lot of childhoods. Not mine. I'm a Quake guy.
Treyarch are considered, generally, the best of the three studios. Amazing story mode, multiplayer remains balanced and anything broken/bugs are fixed within two weeks. They're also extremely fast on tech support, in the rare case that it's needed.
So, yes, because it's Call of Duty. Old COD players (yes they exist) will buy it, and they'll more than likely get their kids to buy it too. Don't forget all their friends and family.

When I play csgo I have to check my corners, ok. In COD I guess I always expect people to be blazing around the corners so I have to watch them. This creates a problem because I'll get rushed from fucking everywhere and grenade launchered from pretty much everywhere too
It's very twitchy, which is totally different than how I normally play. That's why I'm bad at it.

One thing people don't understand about CoD
Yes, it's easier to kill people
But it's easier for other people to kill you
Deaths are short enough that a lesser-skilled player can sometimes win, because he got the drop on the better-skilled player, so it's not like Halo or Battlefield or Tribes where a sufficiently skilled player can last a century against sufficiently unskilled opponents.
Deaths are long enough that there's still skill involved beyond the initial positioning, so it's not like CS where a tiny fuckup means you're sitting the rest of the game out.
It's the perfect sweet-spot of fun, where you can play like an idiot and still get shit done (fast respawn times and relatively small maps help), or you could play with your brain and do better, yet not ruin everyone else's fun.

If CoD was just a shooter with no recoil and low TTK it would be more tolerable, but each CoD has a boatload of other problems like bad map design+spawns, atrocious netcode, poor weapon balance and killstreaks in general, leaving you with something that can only be tolerated by retards who just want to see big numbers pop up on the screen
