Can someone explain to me why Square-Enix tripled down on the emo for Cloud? I replayed the game recently as I thought my memory was failing me, but nope, Cloud isn't emo at all. He's a cold, emotionless dick for plot reasons, but develops from that.
And I guess the emotionless part could be seen as emo, but it's not presented as such. Square has instead really, REALLY pushed the whole "woe is me, life is hell, i dont care bout nothin n nobody" motif with Cloud since. What gives? Why transform his character into this shit?
