Yes. If you have a Zero Jewel, you can easily make 3 million yen off of roulette in a single try.
Empty your inventory except for the Zero Jewel. Save. Go to Ryugujo, that casino in Kamurocho or wherever there's roulette. Buy 1,000 chips. Play roulette. Use the jewel. Bet the max (1,000) chips on 0 or 00. If you don't get the payout, reload and try again. You get 36,000 chips, which is good enough for 26 platinum plates. This is good for 3+ million yen. You could split your bet between 0 and 00 if you don't want to reload, but you'd only get half of the payout.

Damn. I was able to beat 4 in about 25 hours. Granted, I didn't do every side story or minigame, but in 5 even not doing everything chews up a lot of time with the main story alone. I really enjoyed the side story in the Mountain Village, and the taxi missions were simple and fun.
