What's wrong with it? It has fun gameplay. The platforming is weak but it was only a prototype. I don't get all the hate.

They actually needed 3.5 million and that's not asking for a lot. Super metroid took 30 core people to make over a 3 year period. Poverty level is 20,000$ in the US. So if you payed those 30 people to live at poverty level for 3 years, that's 1.8m dollars right there. Considering the dev team working on indivisible would be a lot larger then 30 people including contractors, the sprite/animation quality is a lot higher, and asking people to live at poverty level for 3 yeears to makeee a game is silly, it's pretty easy to see why it;d cost 3.5 million.
even if you just make their salary 40,000 rather then 20k, without factoring in the spritework/animation improvements that require more contractors, that's already 3.6m.
