He tried to slice up Ganondorf in Wind Waker when the Master Sword lost "the sparkle to repel evil" and Ganondorf didn't even flinch. Valoon nuked his treehouse and he was fine. Midna's superform with all the pieces put together couldn't do shit to him. The entire premise of Wind Waker was that the Gods couldn't do anything to Ganondorf and after years of him fucking anything up, they just said fuck it and flooded hyrule so he atleast had nothing to rule.
Even after he lost the triforce at the end, A sword being driven into his skull didn't immediately kill him. He smiled and laughed and the turned to stone, implying he was sealed by it.

Are you all forgetting Shulk can see the future? He gets visions of fights with people or enemies he hasn't even met yet. He gets visions in the middle of fights, especially when the blow could be deadly, and he can switch his arts to compensate. He's also a good strategist who analyzes his opponents.
