The Xbox. The 3DS is complete shit and has a really mediocre library past its second year. All current and upcoming titles look like lazy ass cash ins mixed in with simplified children's games.

Honestly, I would not listen to any FE fans on /v/. Do not play the games to discuss it with fans, just play it from one of the series and spread out from there. Enjoy it for yourself. If you happen to own a 3DS then play Awakening but otherwise start elsewhere.

I think if you like Nintendo then youre really going to enjoy the games they got on it. Unlike the Wii U, the games are good and there are many. However, xbox exclusives have been pretty mediocre with Halo being a disappointment. It's a great console but I dont think Microsoft has hit their stride yet. The xbox might be better a couple years later, though. It might not be a fair comparison given the difference in each console's age.

3ds XL.
I picked a 3ds over PS4 in summer 2014. I never regretted buying a 3ds once. I liked it so much, I got one for my son, and we play co-op all the time.
I got a PS4 summer 2015. It was good that I waited, since I got a great deal, and last year there wasn't much games out.
Buying a Wii U this year for him for Christmas, since there area good deals this holiday season for Wii U's. Never once thought about buying an Xbox, 360, or Bone. Halo never appealed to me.
