As much as I'd like to believe this is all some big Metal Gear related ruse, the reality is that the series is over. Konami has the rights to it and Kojima has been content with ending the series since Snake Eater. Unless Kojima somehow gets the rights years from now and decides to revisit it, the current lineup of Metal Gear games is all we're gonna get.
