out of all that shit about the deleter and authorization and THE BABY, I thought that this plot point was actually pretty interesting. The idea that ridley was kept alive by cloning, and that his initial forms are not intimidating at all was a pretty cool concept to play around with.

I agree that the gameplay wasn't that bad, but it had a lot of problems too when it came to combat. Just running around and exploring felt good, but the moment you had to fight something too big to just bring down with regular shots, you'd be faced with the awful missile aiming and broken dodge rolls that auto-charge your gun.
honestly the gameplay was sub-par for a metroid game
there was almost zero exploration, no noteworthy platforming or puzzle sections, uninspired boss battles, uninspired level design and the combat system was so forgiving it was almost entirely devoid of challenge

one thing I enjoyed about it were the animations. Everything felt quick and slick and natural. Finishing other m and playing as samus in brawl made me realize how clunky and heavy she normally is in the suit.
