It means you play games with the hardware, input, and output that it was designed for. It's the same reason you don't play console shooters with a mouse and keyboard. The weight and feel of the elements inside of the game are being designed for the physical parts you can interact with. So if you're going to play Wii U games, it's best done WITH a Wii U.

i also play a lot of other old games with kb+m, particularly the mega man games, because it's much easier to have two fingers available for jumping and shooting quickly than having to rock one back and forth
