Went online with a friend yesterday doing team smash. Cross Slash after Cross Slash after Cross Slash combos all day. Don't know if it's a true combo or not but it's funny either way.

It feels like none of his moves have any lag. Took a second to get used to the delay of fsmash but it's pretty good.
Might have one of the best dsmash's in the game.
Limit Break side-b and down-b get me so many of my 2nd stock kills
Ftilt and utilt are both great, dtilt is a little more situational but can combo into uair or nair pretty easily

I'd be surprised if he wasn't at least at the lower end of high tier

Like him a lot. I'm a Samus main, so I admit that it was a pretty quick transition since both involve some charging. I hate one thing though: I never can seem to get his up air to fucking hit.

-other tilts have little landing lag if you land on the floor quickly in general
-limit recharge autocancels if you press B you can quickly do another command
Down b > B >anything , so we'll see how the meta develops and how people invent ways to recharge the meter


All in all, he is very fun, but his recovery is atrocious(worse than little macs), its a deal breaker

Nah, little mac is easier to gimp due to shit aerials and his recovery is acceptable with Limit break.

He's essentially the HoS of Smash.

I quite like him. Make good use of his limit gauge.

People who complain that he sucks is cuz they aren't using the limit charge move properly.

The best part is that it can be used similarly to Bowsercide. I played some 4-player free-for-all last night for fun and was amused by how often I could climhazzard off the stage and take some other recovering sap with me. It's not always about winning when you're with friends. Sometimes it's fun to just be a dick.

Not impressed. The fact that you can't choose when to use limit break is a deal breaker. You can't use weak specials to make openings for the powered up special, or even if you are just 5 inches away from grabbing the ledge, you are forced to use your powered up jump to survive

He's got some surprisingly long lasting hitboxes on his u-air and d-air which can catch people unaware. They do need to add some hitboxes to the very top of his fair though, or at least change the sword trail to reflect where they are. Other than that he's pretty fun.

His grab is atrocious, like one of the worst in the game it not even worth going for. The only think his grab can combo into is Dthrow to Reversed Side B which ONLY works at 0 % and ONLY works on smaller, floaty characters (Someone about the size and weight of Falcon it doesnt work on, but Toon Link it does)

Meta Knight was never garbage first off, people just saw he wasnt Brawl tier and assumed. But he did get some big buffs a few patches ago. Hes one of the best in the game right now

He's never fit my playstyle but I'll have to try him again. Are any of the heavies decent right now? I messed around with Smash 4 a decent amount at release but haven't touched it since. Falcon was pretty good on release I know, but DK and Ganon seemed terrible.

Ike is slowly creeping his way into A tier, he's good as fuck and has good tourny represntation

DK is also a good character now, one placed in Top 8 at a major a few months back. His Cargo Up air combo kills on low ceiling stages early as fuck

Bowser also just got a big buff, no idea how much its going to help him yet but things look very good for him right now

His recovery is fucking terrible.

Not even from a distance perspective, he cannot grab the ledge until his up B actually ends, so even the biggest mouth breather can edgeguard him.

His recovery is garbage. All it takes is a footstool on certain stages to fuck him over
His up tilt seems better than his side-titls
That projectile is only good in certain circumstances
That side-b is good for fake-outs
His down-tilt is actually pretty useful

I still don't get how to properly use the charge move.
