In a game as simple as smash there are only so many types of moves you can come up with, especially if you are limiting yourself to one defensive move, one recovery move, etc.

But that's not true at all considering the game has like 40 completely unique movesets and several characters have 0 recovery moves whereas others have up to 3, and characters can have multiple defensive moves.
