I think it will be some kind of spiritual successor to Zone of the Enders with inspiration from Pacific Rim. Pacific Rim was one of Kojimas favorite movies of all time and you know how he likes his movies in his games.
The helmet does not look like your ordinary metal helmet, but rather, it seems to have gears and other high tech stuff happening near the cheek bone.
The skull inside the helmet makes it look like some kind of emblem for a task force, like "The Knights." Knights have been used in anime as a name for mech pilots or space rangers, like in Knights of Sidonia, or in the case of Code Geass, the mecha themselves are called Knightmares. If I were a mech pilot, I'd definitely use Kojima's logo as my emblem.

The logo seems to indicate that, and the skull gives me some 40k vibes with the idea of dead soldiers still serving in battle.

If Journey couldn't, this definitely won't. It's not like Kojima and his team are common developers and it's not like crowdfunding has stopped making money. I would like this set up more often, yes, but that ain't happening.
I don't know man, MGS has been all over the place with some really great directing but also some of the worst decisions ever made.
Take opening credits in TPP for example, it feels like Kojima has a massive ego and absolutely needs a proper team to keep his shit together and fine tune his ideas.
Also considering how different TPP ended up being compared to the trailers I most certainly won't allow myself to get hyped before the game is released and angry /v/irgins tell how it really is.
