I've actually never played a Digimon game, besides some TCG game on the PSOne. They seem like a jolly good time, and I've been waiting anxiously for the 3DS game to get localized so that I could finally give the franchise a shot.

I've played firewatch. It's quickly established you kissed the female ranger night before game starts, spooks happen and teens go missing, communication cut, teens turn up safe and have no idea of spooks, turns out it's the female rangers husband who she's trying to divorce, finale involves you dying, sacrificing yourself to save her from husbands.
It's actually great until the last third then it goes full sjw.
