It's fun, just wish it was a teensy bit longer.
2 has 20 levels. SMB3 has like 90 (Granted they're small as heck)

This was originally some weird Japanese game and not a Mario game but they changed the sprites
Japan has an entirely different Super Mario 2
I actually enjoy it a lot more than SMB3 cause I can beat it in like, 40 minutes or an hour and feel like I had a good time, probably cause it's pretty easy, but there's something special about it, it's probably the color pallete and enviroments. I can't stand the style in SMB3, I know it's a play and it's supposed to be fake, but it's a precursor to this shitty NSMB sanitized bleh style

I always play as Toad in any game where he's playable. IMO, Luigi is only useful in SMB2 if you want to warp to world 7, but if you use warps, you're a pussy.

Of the NES Marios? Definitely. It had a lot of charm to it that, while SMB3 felt a lot more polished, makes it a really fun game to replay even nowadays.

I think Super Mario 3 is obviously the better designed/better looking game but to me SM2 has a really cool vibe to it that you don't get it in 1, 3 or even world. I mean it feels like an adventure game at points. And it has puzzles. And you ride shit. It's just perfect.
