I think a new IP could do wonders for Kojima. With MGS he's had to keep in mind 30 years of continuity (though plenty of things were retconned, that's still a lot of time and a lot of stuff to remember) but now he can have a fresh start.
I really don't want to buy a PS4 though. If this game looks cool it'll be the only game I want on the PS4 and the price still isn't low enough for how little it has that interests me. I'm hoping it's timed exclusive or not even that but I'll probably get a PS4 at some point, maybe when next gen starts and the price drops.

The entire Metal Gear Solid and its rabid fanbase is totally fucking baffling to me. I grew up playing MGS for PS1, and I thought it was okay. As each game came out the story became more and more fucking convoluted and TOTALLY indefensible, plotwise.
