Graphics I think are fine.
However you jump as if both your ankles are broken, a couple of annoying bugs, no good resolution settings, guns take up 40รท of your view and bullshit netcode, nobody rubber bands but you can shoot someone 4 times in the chest with a sniper and not get a single hitmarker.
If there were missions and Co op I'd be all over it. But it's just COD multiplayer with three gamemodes.
It's basically a fan game.
I'm gonna give it a shot once exams are over. It sounds decent enough. I haven't played an online shooter in forever.

Well granted season 2 had some stellar solo episodes.
But the main plot was heinous.
It dropped all the psuedo realism of the first season. Also none of the careful politics and tactics to Section 9, who while expert agents, are still vulnerable.
Instead, there's a super samurai soldier who no one can beat, and everyone loves him because he's so cool, and his will has been taken over by an amazing virus that affects virgins by a super hacker who can order America to fire nukes on refugees of Japan because he's so valuable.

It's nothing special, just a decent but run of the mill multiplayer shooter. I like the skill system and how it rewards you for saving up your skills to help your team, but that's all that really stands out.
If you're hardcore into Counter Strike or any other random FPS, there's no reason to switch. I've played too many F2P games to really have the perspective to complain about the unlock system but it would probably bother most people.
My biggest complaint is that, of all the really fucking cool things you can do with Ghost in the Shell, they went with "Call of Duty clone." There was this PS2 GitS game with multiplayer I played as a kid that was fucking awesome and far better than this.

Coming from a huge GitS fanboy who really, really wanted this to be good and was prepared to go full "I-ITS JUST A BETA"-mode, it's shit. I've played about 6 hours and these are my thoughts.
The gunplay sucks and feels so random, the movement feels slow and floaty. It looks awful, (think 2008 f2p game). It doesn't have great sound quality. Most of the abilities are just a free kill and don't encourage team play. The maps are functional, if a little generic. I sperged and bought the $30 pack and for what it's worth The Major has a 10/10 waifubait character model, but that's about the only good point I can think of. With my bought shekels I bought an AK and all the attachments and it's just miles better than anyone elses gun. It's not slow, tactical, cooperative or in anyway feeling meaningful enough to tear me away from the likes of R6:Siege, The gameplay isn't fast enough, tight enough or skill based enough to drag me away from Dirty Bomb. It doesn't feel smooth and instantly gratifying enough to replace CoD as a bit of mindless fun.
Basically, no matter how much I wish with every single fibre of my being it to be good, it's total fucking garbage that brings nothing new to the table and maybe would have stood a chance if it came out 6 years ago.

Pretty much this. It just feels like a basic FPS template with GitS skins slapped on top. There's literally no reason to play it other than the GitS namesake, which really doesn't matter fuck all. All the enemy team are just generic bad guys and the environments so generic you could be anywhere. The only GitS flavoured stuff are the voices, which the orginal SAC cast did and sounds great, and the menus.But who plays a game for the menus?

I was in the closed beta, so I got into this one for free.
Personally, I feel Blacklight Retribution is the better game in this style, but as the game is having serious problems, I don't think it's worth going back to that yet.
I still think the damage model they use for the game is retarded. Single headshot kills with ARs while bodyshots take 6 or more doesn't feel right to me.
It takes longer to unlock new weapons and attachments compared to CB. That's probably normal.
Movement still feels too slow, but at least you can reload while sprinting now. In CB you needed to have a specific chip for that.
Speaking of chips, it's still fucking stupid. They're the equivalent of CoD perks except you MIGHT get one randomly after each game and they're time-limited.
No Seburo guns besides the M-5 Pistol. See the C26-A that the major is holding in the OP? That's supposed to be the standard issue rifle for Section 9, but all we get is a dolled-up M4.
Togusa's Mateba revolver isn't in the game either.
