Yeah and the worse part is that japanese reporting like Nikkei's usually only have in mind the japanese market. So when they talk about a console game they always just make distinctions between PS4 and Wii U. For them the PC market or the Xbone market offshore is irrelevant as fuck and will basically forget that those market exist outside of Japan.

1. Kojimbo decided to get a "smaller" vacation and terminated his contract today, since his initial stipulations was the usual no compete until December 31st of this year . The reason? Kojimbo got EXTREMELY butthurt over the hole VGA thing of the previous week.
2. Kojimbo is talking with SCE to make an studio between Tokio and Osaka. Still talking about having some sort of studio in LA working.
3. Sony seems to want Kojima and his team to work on a new IP
4. Shinkawa and other former Koji Pro employees are also moving towards this new studio.
5. A game of terror seems to be the one Kojimbo is currently pitching to SCE.

Hideo Kojima is not a writer as much as he is a director.
Now if he could get Tomokazu Fukushima back, then we'd be good, because he's the real mastermind behind some of the better parts of MGS.
Anyway, Hideo Kojima makes things happen, and he gets results from other people. If nothing else, he's competent. That said, he does know a fair bit of programming, as far as I'm aware, and does help out with the actual production of his games. I don't think I've ever heard of a mechanically-unsound Kojima game, and we'll never know what MGSV would have been had Konami not interfered at all, but he'll make it happen.
I'm personally excited for what this means in terms of how diverse the genres of Hideo Kojima are. He's done Stealth, Action, Sci-fi, Mecha, and was prepping to do Horror next. The man has an understanding of what makes each genre come to life, and I doubt he'll disappoint.
Besides, the man is probably #1 on the list of "Japanese developers 'fired' from their job that are most likely to be rehired by someone else and given full creative control of their next game." If his new studio doesn't pan out, he'll still be A-okay.
