How is it compared to DT2/EO IV? I hated Demon Gaze because it was a mess of difficulty (80% of the game is piss easy even on the hardest difficulty) and the art was atrocious (different art everywhere).

I'm tossing up between the old PSVita and the new one. I usually don't like slimmer designs, they tend to feel cheap and flimsy. As someone who plays their 3DS XL in the circle pad pro even if the game doesn't use it because the extra size is more comfortable, would I prefer the original vita?

I have both. I can tell you the old screen looks WAY better. I got the slim because I thought my original vita was broken and I was incredibly distraught by this notion purely due to how bleh it looks. Also ofc it's going to look worse than on the original DS. upscaled textures/etc without filter still playing at original resolution. But it's not un-playable ugly. I was playing SMT Journey just find a day ago.

I Plat'd the Vita version, and got 3/4 the way through the PS3 version before I moved on to new games.
There are some silly things like Stripping styles which change your animations like Fist of the North Star and JoJo's Bizarre Adventure stripping styles.

The best games on vita with which I had the most fun were P4G, Danganronpa 1&2, soul sacrifice and Muramasa. And only Soul Sacrifice in the bunch was not a port. I didn't like that much Gravity Rush because the gameplay felt quite clunky and Dragon's Crown was a different Golden axe.
Actually I was disappointed with most of the vita games (rorona, Demon gaze). /v/ tricked me several times. But I had at least fun with old psn games considering that I didn't own a PS1 back then. Loved Crash 1 and Klonoa.
And recently I bought Dungeon Travelers 2. I just hope I wasn't tricked once again.

But you don't need to be so damn pessimistic about it and state all of your information based off of some comparison videos.
If you actually played the old vita and switched out to the new slim one, the difference is literally barely noticeable.
It's like colors. If you place yellow and a very VERY slightly darker shade of yellow side-by-side, you would definitely see the difference. But if you look at the very slightly darker shade of yellow by itself after switching out the lighter yellow, you wouldn't be able to distinguish the difference as easily.
