Ea and Dice had to publish the game in time for the movie given that is really the only window they got given the outrageous amount of publicity, it is the definition of a game for the Holidays.
This is the most simplistic title Dice has released since BF1943 on xbox live the problem is the absurd price, but anyone dumb enough to buy the season pass had it coming given that games like these do not hold the public attention span long enough for the Season Pass to do anything to increase the sales.
I can understand EA, they could had either told Dice to mimic Battlefront II, a game this generation and demographic literally never played to try to squeeze some pennies out of the /v/ demographic which is essentially squeezing a rock for lemon juice, or just release a simple game for the holidays which was the right call given that the audience for this game are children and dumb people, I mean it is fucking star wars.
Thinking about it Dice and Ea could had gotten away with much more than a $60 USD game without single player.
First SWToR and now this.....It's like giving EA exclusivity to Star Wars games was a shit idea.
