I'd rather they make a general World of Darkness game first. I'd also rather they make a Vampire game which combined elements of Masquerade and Requiem, both have elements which would be really good in an RPG.

The problem with Obsidian is they try to do too much. If they have the time, they will create a masterpiece. If they are working under time constraints, the product will be a shadow of what it was intended to be.

In what way? Their games always have simplistic gameplay, shit art design, no TECHNOLOGY... in what way are they trying to do too much? Streum tried to do too much. Troika tried to do too much. Ion Storm pretended they tried to do too much. Obsidian just wrote dialogue prompts with gameplay being a nuisance. Hell, their best rated games had the setting and the lore already fleshed out for them. When they were left to their own means you'd get horrible crap like the whole Fallout 2 side questlines, fluffers, ayyliums and the like.
