They're downgraded graphically, somewhat, but I found the gameplay superior. I played 2033 redux expecting easy mode stealth like Last Light but they changed the level design enough to make the game hard as shit.
GTA V PC Port is better than TW3 IME but whatever.

I've wondered this myself and what I figured is that in the USA the talented people are spread out over various companies because of the fierce competition. This is why Bethesda is stuck with interns doing all the programming and animations.
This is not so with a company like CDPR that can pick and choose local people and pay them less at that.
With how corrupted western gaming journalists are and their bias against anything with fanservice, I'm not surprised that jrpgs will never win any awards ever.
